This was the first time Megan has worn a dress and stockings - she looked like such a cutie! Thanks to Cass for passing on all of Miss Charlotte's hand-me-down clothes. This outfit is one of about a billion she's given us.

A sad day...

It's a sad day for us because we have woken to an empty(ish) house... our guests have gone. Hank & Vicki are now lapping up the sunshine in Broome. We had a lovely two weeks with Oma & Opa. The only real bummer were two sick kids. Megan was pretty miserable for the first week and a half and was only just starting to come out of her shell and of course, when Megan started getting better then it was Aiden's turn to get sick.

Anyhow, we still managed to squeeze in a few activities. On Friday we caught the bus to the train station and rode the train all the way into the city so we could go to the museum. Aiden loved it last time we went but this time he got a bit freaked out about how dark and scary some of the exhibits were.

How excited am I???

Vicki is an awesomely talented English lass who designs digital scrapbook kits and gives them away for free (how nice is she?)... and she has selected me to be on her Creative Team! This is the first time I have been chosen to be on a design team of any sort so I am SUPER excited!

One of the reasons why I am so happy to be on Vicki's team is becasue her kits are AMAZING! I love her stuff so it is an honour and a privilege to have the opportunity to showcase her work. This is the first time Megan sat in a chair at a table rather than in her highchair - she looked rather chuffed about the whole thing but was waaaaay too distracted to actually eat anything!

Today

I know there are a few people out there wondering how our guests are fairing... They are, in fact, doing very well. We put in a special order for some sunshine and have thankfully received a week of glorious weather... and those of you that know Vicki & Hank know that they have soaked up every little bit they can get!
The only downer would be Megan having a cold so she has been a bit out of sorts for most of the week and not very cuddly either.
This morning we headed out for a late breakfast at a cafe down at the marina:



Breakfast was followed by a nice stroll along the waterfront before heading over the bridge to the playground.

Let's ride

This photo was taken this morning while we were outside soaking up the sunshine with Oma & Opa. For those of you wondering they have arrived here safely and without incident (meaning that Dave actually went to the right airport this time to pick them up...). They had a minor mishap this morning though when they set out to walk to the shops and headed off in the complete opposite direction... they eventually got to where they wanted to go but saw far more of the countryside than they intended!

A trip to the playground
