Cuddles for Grandad
Grandad came to babysit Megan while I took Aiden to swimming lessons yesterday morning. When we left all seemed fine... but when we got home we found Grandad sitting on the lounge with Megan fast asleep on his shoulder - and it turns out he'd been sitting there for an hour! Normally Megan comes running straight to me when I come home but she didn't even budge - she was content to stay with Grandad - lucky him...

Happy Anniversary to US!
Yesterday was our 5th wedding anniversary. It doesn't seem like much but when you realise we were together for almost 8 years before we got married (yes - I waited THAT long - LOL!) it really has been a long time that we have been a happy couple.
Mum was kind enough to come and babysit the kids so Dave and I went out for a very nice, relaxed dinner.
To my awesome, loving, tolerant, overworked husband - I love you... may we share many more anniversaries together.
Here we are all dressed up ready to go out for dinner:

A Mother's Love
There's not much going on here to report. I am finally feeling well but now poor Megan is sick (not really sure what with - perhaps teeth?). Aiden is in the middle of a growth spurt - food wise I can't seem to fill him up and he's waaaaay fragile and teary... Dave is still working hard...
Check out this photo of Cass & Lucas - it's gorgeous! Cass is a bit like me - she takes loads of photos of the kids but there are precious few with us mum's actually in the shot!

The winds of change are blowin'...
I've decided to separate my two blogs rather than double post stuff like I have been doing. SO, this blog will go back to just posting stories about the kids that our family members will enjoy and also my scrapbook pages.
Posts about my kits, Vicki's kits and Nicole's kits (yep, I've just made it onto another Creative Team... more details to come on my Sweet Blossom blog) will all be done on my other blog.
Here's a page done with my latest kit:

Sweet Dreams
Sorry, I've been a bit quiet on the blog front this past week. I've been crook and have spent most of the week in bed... Luckily, I had already finished my add-on to Vicki's kit. She really did make a nice kit to start with. A nice theme and a beautiful colour palette made it pretty easy for me to come up with an add-on. The page below uses my favorite bit of paper I have designed yet... hope you like it too. You can get Vicki's part of the kit here and my part here.

Sweet Dreams
This page was done using Vicki's new 'Sweet Dreams' kit. The colours are gorgeous and it's a nice mix of elements. Go check out her blog for more CT pages using this kit.

Miss Charlotte
Isn't this a beautiful photo of Madame C? My friend Cass was kind enough to give me a heap of photos of her two kids so I am now armed with more scrapping material!
This is the latest kit I have just posted on my Sweet Blossom blog - it's the add-on to Vicki's 'Breakfast At Tiffany's' kit:

Breakfast At Tiffany's
What do you do if you have your photo taken outside the famous Tiffany's jewellry store on your birthday? You make an entire scrapbook kit so you can scrap your picture, of course! That's exactly what Vicki has done... Here's her next fab kit 'Breakfast At Tiffany's'. You can see the layout she created and download the kit from her blog.

Boys & their Toys
We decided to take the kids to the royal show this year - perhaps a bold move... It turned out to be an OK day with some negatives and positives. The positives: both kids really enjoyed seeing all the animals and they are still too young to know about show bags so it was a relatively inexpensive outing. The negatives: Aiden wasn't interested in looking at anything else except the animals and Megan is now too old to sit in a pram all day but at a place with so many people it is difficult to let her do her thing on the floor...
Aiden did, however, particularly like the motorbike display (photos on the right) and after seeing them he stopped asking to see more animals and instead kept asking to see more motorbikes...
We also managed to get Aiden onto one of the rides (photos on the left). He has always been a bit weary of rides and things that move under him so we get rather excited when he shows interest in these things. Anyway, he thought the truck ride was pretty cool and the big grin on his face in all the photos proves it!

Gotta love IKEA
The shutdown at Dave's work has FINALLY finished - believe me it has been a very long 100 days... So, Dave actually managed some much needed time off with myself and the kids. Our first family adventure was to the Perth Royal Show on Wednesday (I am currently in the process of scrapping some photos so will post them at a later time) and then on Friday I dragged them all to IKEA. It was a very satisfying shopping trip - we came home with a couple of bookshelves and a new computer desk for me. Dave is happy because instead of me spending $1700 on a new laptop I bought a $90 computer desk WITH WHEELS so I am now stting here typing this blog IN THE SAME ROOM as my husband!
Here's a couple of photos taken after we got home from IKEA.
The first three are Dave putting up the bookshelves in the toy room with that 'special help' that only small children can give!
We also bought this tent/igloo for the kids. I couldn't get a decent photo because the first one has Megan standing at the door too unsure to go in and in the second photo Dave has dragged her inside so there was a mass stampede for the door because everyone wanted to get out at once...
